Welcome to Haus Rules

I’m Sarah, Founder & designer of Studio Rhodes, a luxury interior design firm in Denver Colorado. I am deeply grateful for the experiences that led me here today: a degree in Interior Architecture & Design, a decade spent working with top-tier design firms across the US and UK, and, most exciting, the launch of my own studio. I’ve seen a lot, I’ve learned from incredible mentors, and now I’m finally putting my own spin on things.

This blog is, at its core, a personal practice. A way for me to stay present. A reminder to pay attention to what moves me, and to look for inspiration in the everyday.

On the flip side, I hope it becomes something useful to you. In a world of constant content, my goal for this space is to act as a curated source of inspiration, one that empowers you to fully engage with your surroundings, and ultimately helps you uncover and develop your own personal style.

Let’s be honest, we’re surrounded by over-consumption, cheap materials, and copycat designs. Unless you’re in the industry, it can be really hard to know what’s worth investing in, and what’s just noise. That’s why we created Haus Rules, to exist as a visual diary, an educational resource, and a love letter to timeless design.
